HOW MUCH WILL ROCFORD HAVE TO SPASH OUT POSSIBLY FOR SOMETHING WE DONT WANT

This blog is designed  to complement the SAEN organisation that opposes the airport runway extension, I have been in contact with Kiti (the SAEN Chairperson) and it has been suggested that a rochford branch be set up as we have slightly different issues to those of southend but all have  the same sentiments to avoid confusion we have gone with a sensible name that states exactly what it’s about .  i have no political alliances, I am not working for or getting paid by anybody, but have great concerns about the area I live in, the way our councils are not keeping us the residence informed of airport activities that could seriously affect our ways of life, and the area’s facilities. I am attempting to furnish you with information that you may not have knowledge of allowing you act accordingly, most of the information that appears on this site will be found on the SAEN main website , this site has the facility to take your comment with out singing up to the mailing list via blogs.

At present there are Three main Planning applications pending that would affect Rochford  they are Coombes farm housing development in Rochford/Stambridge, (now been refused planning permission)The Airport control tower in southend ( now been approved no planning permission needed) , and the Airport runway extension & Eastwoodbury lane re alignment in southend any or all of these applications if passed will almost certainly affect your way of  life , be it air pollution, noise pollution, nightly disturbances , or traffic congestion  some people will be more affected than others if you live in a less populated area you are  more likely to be affected, you can view the planning applications online by copying the relevent planning application number below , then to my blogroll and select the planning authority that  the application applies to  runway extension/control tower   select southend council    for the coombes farm select the Race link and then follow the site links

there has been a further submission of a planning application for the integrated visitors centre and station, (this planning application was submitted about 5 years ago but under uk planning law progress should have been started within 5 years to which it was not  plus there are a couple of amendments hence a re sub)

Planning application numbers & latest information:

the planning application number is 09/00599/ful and a 2nd 04/00639/rem

Control tower 09/00570/PD the control tower is a requirement of an airport so actual planning permission was not  needed  but simply needed to go before a planning committee, this tower will be sited round about the S bend on the southend road it is over 100 feet tall ( est ten stories) and will probably have a rotating light on the top it will also have 360 deg vision, this has been sanctioned and will be built

Coombes farm  09/00528/OUT   this planning application was aired at the development control committee at the civic suet rayleigh on 19th November and was refused planning permmission. I have been informed by R A C E  the objection group that they will monitoring the situation as an appeal is not out of the question,

Runway extension & eastwoodbury lane, 09/01960/fulm this application has now been acceppted as of 20/01/10 (passesd) but has been called in  by government inspector so it has not been validatedas yet we are now awaiting his decision
